Day of Departure We will depart from Seattle (4 pm): On a clear day, the Seattle skyline is stunning. On rainy days there is much to do and see under cover. Take a ferry across the Sound or check out the view atop the Space Needle. Visit turn-of-the-century Pioneer Square day or night.
Day 1 Scenic Inside Passage Cruising: When explorer John Muir first sailed the Inside Passage he could hardly tear himself away from the rail for fear of missing some new marvel. “Never before”, he wrote, “have I been embosomed in scenery so hopelessly beyond description tracing shining waves through fjord and sound, past forest and waterfall, islands and mountains...”. All this while you’re gliding along in the lap of luxury while you are gliding along on a cruise ship with your new bluegrass friends.
Day 2
Ketichikan Ketchikan (7:00am - 3:00pm): Nicknamed “the salmon capital of the world,” this important fishing port is also home to the world’s largest collection of Native American totem poles. You will enjoy your stroll through the picturesque waterfront district of this quaint boardwalk city built on stilts, as well as the historic and former “Red Light” district amid gold shops, gift shops and restaurants.
Day 3
Juneau (7:00am - 1:30pm): In Alaska’s capital you may choose to taste salmon baked over an alder wood fire, pan for gold, see the Juneau Ice Field or walk right up to the Mendenhall Glacier located just outside the city limits. There are ample shore excursions to fill your day.  Juneau is nestled at the feet of snowcapped Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts and is nicknamed “Little San Francisco” because of its narrow streets and flights of wooden steps hugging the hillside on which its multicolored houses are built.
Juneau
Day 4
Skagway Skagway (7:00am - 5:00pm): Where the Gold Rush began - Skagway was the turbulent staging point for prospectors hell-bent on getting to the Klondike gold fields. Go ashore. Stroll the weathered boardwalks and drop in at old time saloons or shop for gold nuggets. You can purchase tickets for a ride in a vintage parlor car up the historic White Horse Pass, via the narrow gauge railway. Skagway has preserved the atmosphere of the 1898 gold rush better than any other town in Alaska.
Day 5 Inside Passage Prince Rupert (4:00pm - 10:00pm): This section of the North Coast is one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the world. Fjords, inlets, rain forests, lagoons, sandy beaches, haunting abandoned villages, it's all there offering endless inspiration.
Day 6
At Sea: Relax and enjoy the comforts of the Star and the company of your new Bluegrass friends. Sit in on the workshops, jam and make dates to meet up at festivals across the country.
We will end our trip with a fabulous concert!
Day 7
We return to Seattle at 8:00 am. There is plenty of time before we disembark for breakfast and maybe one last jam as we bid farewell to our new friends. Don't forget to exchange addresses so we can make arrangements to meet together at other Bluegrass events.

All this in addition to eagle and whale watching,
sightseeing and top act entertainment.
When will you have time to
eat all those fabulous meals?

On board, you will be entertained by the best of Bluegrass, attend Workshops and have
a great time JAMMING with your new friends.

Private and mini group lessons also available!
